5 on Friday no.13

I've really enjoyed watching the Olympic ice dancing and figure skating this week. My friend, Emily, and I have been "watching" the skating events together. I say "watch" because we watch them at the same time, in our own homes, but we text each other about it the whole time. I've loved having someone to "watch" with!

The weather lately has been great. Most of my speech munchkins are in a different building than my therapy room so every 30 minutes or so I have to go outside. It's been really nice to not have to grab a coat and bundle up every half hour and I've loved my moments in the warm sun, it's wonderful!

This week I found out the Veronica Mars movie will only be released in certain cities. Unfortunately it's not showing anywhere in Arkansas. Well, to solve that problem I've decided to go to Dallas for the release weekend and also spend time with my Mom. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hubby has officially picked a date to take his STEP 1 exam. Medical students/residents have to take a series of STEP exams (board exams) to become a doctor. The first one, STEP 1, is the hardest and it determines what kind of doctor you can be. Please keep us in your prayers as he prepares to take it in June.

Since Hubby will be studying all weekend, Kristin and I are heading up to Northwest Arkansas after work to spend the weekend with Brittney. We are going to have so much fun. Brittney is making a delicious dinner for us tonight and tomorrow we are going to hang out in Fayetteville, watch the Hanson live stream, and they're going to take me to some of their favorite restaurants. Yay for girls' weekends!

I hope each of you has a great, refreshing weekend. TGIF!

Praying for your hubby (and for you because a hubby's stress does rub off on his wife! ) I remember those days well. My husband studied for about 12 hours a day during that time. But it paid off, and he did so well on Step 1. I know your husband will do great as well! Hoping that he gets what he needs to do what he wants to do. Is he still leaning toward ortho? If so, I can give you a good idea of what your husband needs to aim for to do well in interviews for residencies since mine just went through the process. Just let know!

Step 1 studying is the worst! Step 2 was no fun either. But alas. Just part of the journey. 3rd year is better than 2nd...and 4th year is a DREAM after away rotations are finished. Mine is home all the time (sometimes almost too much hehe). Soaking up that time before July 1.... Match in 16 days!
